Sheena Tremblay

From Yellowknife to a New Zealand adventure

The things we did were awesome and the people make it even better!

"New Zealand seemed a cool place to visit", says Sheena Tremblay, of Yellowknife, a small town in a remote part of the North Western Territories of Canada.

Sheena chose to visit New Zealand over the summer enrolling on Adventure Education’s Outdoor Leadership programme. “I found the programme on the internet and it seemed awesome!” she said.

After completing the programme Sheena headed back to Canada and a career in the outdoors. “I enjoyed the diving and white water rafting the most and accomplished things that I had never done before,” she said.

Sheena would definitely recommend New Zealand and Adventure Education as a study destination.

Canadian Tarrah Pippert sets future direction from Adventure Education dive programme

It was an awesome experience and something that isn't offered at all in Canada

Tarrah Pippert, a university student from Bolton, Ontario, spent the summer in New Zealand studying diving.

New Zealand's reputation as an adventure tourism destination, the timing and the content of Adventure Education's Master Diver programme influenced Tarrah's decision to come here.

"I liked the content of the programme and the teaching styles," said 20 year old Tarrah who also loved the people and the weather in New Zealand. "No snow," she exclaimed.

Now the programme is over Tarrah plans to work as a dive guide for a while and study business in Australia, majoring in travel and tourism.

Tarrah says Adventure Education's programme helped her realise what to do with her life.

Tarrah would recommend New Zealand and Adventure Education as a study destination to others.
