5 Quick Facts about the Recreational Dive Instructor Programme:
- The programme includes 25 logged Dives
- This course is NZQA approved as a Quality Assured Level 6 Qualification
- The duration of the course is either 24 Weeks Full-Time or 34 Weeks Part-Time
- Part-time = max of 20 hours contact time per week, plus home study time
- Full-time = minimum of 3 days per week, minimum of 20 hours contact time per week, plus home study time
- If you choose the Part-Time option you are not eligible to apply for Student Allowances through StudyLink
- If you choose the Full-Time option you are eligible to apply for Student Allowances through StudyLink

Awards and Qualifications:
- Adventure Education Certificate in Recreational Dive Instruction
- SSI Open Water Instructor (if you are at least 18 years old, have logged 100 dives and have passed the Instructor Evaluation)
- SSI Specialty Instructor x 5
- SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Instructor
